The Joy of Working

Billy and I have both been so busy lately. He's been working ridiculously long and stressful hours so his crew can get everything done before Christmas vacation and I've been stressed out over preparing for finals and getting everything figured out for next semester. Thankfully Billy got to spend a little much needed time vegging out (which he rarely ever does) with his friend from work, playing Call of Duty last night...

And he got off early tonight so he can catch up on other things... like sleep :)

As for me, I finally got our new vehicles registered and insured, which has been a complete nightmare trying to figure out AND I am officially enrolled in grad school!! I'm so excited!

And we have a few more milestones coming up... After four and a half years I will have my bachelors degree next week! It's such a good feeling!
And, as of December 17th, Billy and I will have made it through our first year of marriage!!! More of an accomplishment than I thought it would be, but by far the best year of my life :) I can't believe how much I've grown and learned from spending this last year with him, and every day I feel more and more blessed to be with him. There's a quote from Martin Luther that hangs over our door: "Let the wife make the husband glad to come home and let him make her sorry to see him leave." I've been trying (and often failing) to make our little trailer a sanctuary for him, but I can't believe how well he holds up his part of that piece of advice. Sometimes I can't believe how much I miss him when he goes to work... which is why I am soooo looking forward to our 2 weeks off together :)

Christmas Time

Our miniature Christmas Tree! Perfect or our small home :)
And the best part... It's actually rosemary! Isn't that the best idea ever?! I've been adding it to all our roasted vegetables and it tastes delicious. I think I really like the idea of edible Christmas trees...

Litchfield, IL

Ok, get ready for one of the most amazing things ever... are you ready?
THERE'S A WINERY IN MY BACKYARD!!!!!
Isn't that wonderful?! :)

We moved to Litchfield, IL last night to the most beautiful park, and even better, right across the creek that's behind our trailer, is a winery :) With some pretty tasty wine and free wifi (which is nice because our campground doesn't have any and since this town only has around 4,000 people I'm thinking there aren't going to be many internet cafés).

That's our trailer in the background :)

The walk to the winery.

Study time with some Petite Syrah!

Wooden Nickel Winery and Saloon

So they don't actually make the wine here, it's just a room for tastings and events, the wines (and beers too) are actually all from Crown Valley Winery in Missouri.

Billy's been working like crazy lately! We were staying hours away from where he was working so he was having to get up between 4 and 5 in the morning and not getting back home until really late. So we moved last night to be closer to the work, but we didn't get set up here until 1 in the morning! Needless to say, Billy's had a long day and an even longer week. We are sooo looking forward to our vacation that starts two weeks from today!!!
